Euabalong is a small village within Cobar Shire located on the banks of the Lachlan River with a population of approximately 300 people. This village is situated towards the Southern end of the Shire and is 230 kilometers South of Cobar.
Council have been successful in receiving funding from the NSW State Government to expand the community infrastructure in the village by installing a river walking track.
This walking track was identified through the development of Council’s Active Transport Plan in 2019. Council held numerous community consultation sessions and taken into consideration the needs of the community and their feedback to from this document.
This project involves the construction of a concrete walking track alongside the Lachlan River and creating a link between recreational assets within the village.
The Euabalong Riverwalk footpath has been completed along with a footbridge and picnic seating. Be sure to drop in for a stroll along the river next time you are in the area.
